EXPERIENCE: Noooone whatsoever.
NAME: Adélie Rebecca MacAlaister
AGE AND BIRTHDAY: 18, September 18, 1991
LOCATION: North-East, Boston
OCCUPATION: High School Student
MARTIAL STATUS & SEXUALITY: Single, Straight.
CLASS: Upper Class
As the only daughter of a cop with no real mother figure around since she was very young, Addie has had an interesting childhood. While Callum MacAlaister always encouraged his daughter's creative pursuits, he definitely sheltered her a little bit, too, trying to keep her far away from the bad things in the world.
He couldn't shelter her from her mother's illness, though. Virginia had always behaved a bit oddly, but not long before Addie's sixth birthday, it became clear something was very wrong with her and it wasn't long after that when the woman had to be placed in an institution. It was something Addie never quite understood and she's always wondered if there was something wrong with her, too, considering how she has always been a little odd. She's never voiced her fears, of course. She's far too worried that they would lock her away like they did her mom if anyone knew how she felt.
Addie has never been one of the popular kids, but it's not something she cares a lot about. She has her cousin, Becca, who is basically her closest female friend and she has Zeke, her best friend recently turned boyfriend who she adores. This whole dating thing is kind of new to her - she's had crushes on this boy or that for years, but Zeke is her first real boyfriend - but she kind of likes it and she's doing her best to adjust to the change in their relationship.
She's halfway through her senior year and she's honestly wishing that time would slow down. She only have a few months left of high school and then a few years of college, after all, and although she has exciting plans for the future, a part of her wants to cling to the familiar forever. You'd never know it to look at her, but there's a little girl inside that's desperately afraid of growing up and having to figure out what she's going to do when she has to live life as an adult. If she could stay a kid forever, that'd be great.
Addie is one of those freaky creative genius types. She's the girl who is wacky and out there and generally misunderstood by a majority of her peers. It's a shame, because she's actually a pretty awesome girl once you get to know her - once you get past the weirdness.
She's kind of a genius - creatively, anyway. Her grades are barely above average in her less stimulating classes, but when it comes to things like music, literature, art - the things that really appeal to her, Addie excels with almost no effort at all. She has a natural gift for creating - sketching and painting, playing an instrument, writing a new song or poem. Addie is constantly humming or whispering to herself, committing that new tune or lyric to memory when she doesn't have a readily available way to get it down on paper.
Not having many friends or being very popular doesn't bother her much. She values her solitude, anyway, and can often be found leaning against a tree or lounging in her bed or some common area reading whatever book has most recently piqued her interest.
APPEARANCE Cute, if you discount her rather alternative dress and hairstyle, and petite, Addie stands at 5'5 and weighs about 125lbs. She's a little on the skinny time, but it's not because she doesn't eat. The girl just has a fast metabolism. Honestly, she'd love to gain a little weight. She knows she is far too skinny!
Addie's style is decidedly punk. She wears dark, funky clothes and her naturally brown hair is more often than not dyed with a combination of black and bright red or pink streaks.
Being only 16, she doesn't have any tattoos yet, but that doesn't mean she's not dying to get at least one of frequently daydreaming about what it is she wants to get.
